Movie Trailers we might see during the Super Bowl LI
Deadline has reported on spots for 30 seconds TV ads ranging from 4.5 million to 6 million per commercial.
Disney has two slots, with 3 canditates to be shown. "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" releasing May 5th is almost set but get one of the slots, as it should kick into full promotion mode.
Second slot will probably go to either "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" (release May 26th) or Beauty and the Beast (release March 17th). With Beauty and the Beast already already having all lot of positive buzz and the release so close, Disney might give the slot to Pirates of the Caribbean since it needs the spotlight way more. Some might be missing a clip for Star Wars Episode 8, but with Adam Driver in a Snickers spot, we might still get some Star Wars mentioning.
Fox apperantly has 2 slots as well. Deadline thinks 1 will go to "A Cure for Wellness" and 1 to either "Logan" or "Alien: Covenant". I would expect Logan and Alien to get one slot each and none to A Cure for Wellness. I just feel these movies fit better for a Super Bowl enviroment.
Paramount will advertise as well. Deadline speculates "Baywatch" or "Transformers: The Last Knight", but my money would be on "Ghost in the Shell".
Sony and Universal are also expected to show off a movie during the pre-game show. Sony will probably show "Spiderman: Homecoming" or maybe we'll get a first look at "The Dark Tower".
Universal has several movies it might show during the Super Bowl: "Fifty Shades Darker", "The Great Wall", "Get Out", "The Fate of the Furious" or "The Mummy" are all possible candidates. "The Great Wall" might need to attention the most, so i would expect that.
Suprisingly Warner Bros has no spot on there own. We might still get some advertisement for either "Wonderwoman" or "Justice League" with a promotional partner, like the turkish airlines commercials last year. But still it is suprising to see the DCEU, which is so much on the backfoot, so much in critique, not using this chance to get some positive eyes on their upcoming movies.
