Hi.

Welcome to my blog. This is a website I created mainly for myself. I love movies and love to talk about them. That's why I decided to try out writing about them as well. If anyone here stumbles unpon this and likes it, that's fine. I'm no nativ english speaker, so forgive any spelling mistakes.

Also this Site is still work in progress, as I learn how stuff works...

The Glory that is Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Trailer and general SW Celebration Stuff)

The Glory that is Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Trailer and general SW Celebration Stuff)

Star Wars Celebration is going on at the moment and during the Last Jedi Panel (which was great btw) we got treated to the trailer.

The 2:12 min. trailer gives us the first glimpse at Rian Johnson latest movie. We see Rey train with Luke, some quick action shots and then Lukes bold announcement that the Jedi should end. During Star Wars Celebration Panel for The Last Jedi Daisy Ridley told us that we will see Rey who meets her hero and might be disappointed with what she sees. This information and the trailer gives me the idea that Luke might not be willing to train Rey. He still seems broken and Rey will need to convice Luke to train her and take on the role of the jedimaster once more, another awakening if you will. The line "it's time for the jedi to end" might also elude to the end of the jedi as an insitution and religion. Luke might become a gray jedi, someone who embraced the light and the dark side ofthe force and thus become the balance in the middle

Suprisingly we only see very little of Kylo Ren and nothing of Snoke, overall the trailer focuses on the "good guys", although I'm sure they only do it to keep things secret for now. I wouldn't mind seeing a second teaser or trailer that focuses on the dark side, Kylo Ren, Snoke and the first order. That would also be a good time to introduce Benicio del Toro's character. At least I asume hes one of the bad guys.

Also during Star Wars Celebration we got the new poster for TLJ.

The poster looks absolutly fantastic. Reys pose is a throwback to the Ep. 4 Poster, the colour red still dominant and the duality between Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren, light and dark, with rey in the middle. The plasma stream of light sabre Rey is holding changes colout halfway through, which some interpret as Rey changing from light to dark. Ever since The Force Awakens came out, there has been a lot dicussion about Rey possibly falling to the dark side and Ben Solo redeeming himself so that he in the end the tables are turned.

God I'm hyped
